Service Master was called to the Dela Park Place condominiums in Marco Island, after a power boat explosion on February 17, 2012, on the breakwaters in front of the building. The breeze drove smoke into the condominium units and onto the roof. Smoke and soot entered air conditioning ducts and seeped into lanais. Plastic and byproducts of the fire were a health hazard. Residents were advised to shut off the air conditioning units and close windows and shutters. The residents were also advised to not stay at the units until air conditioning ducts were cleaned. Service Master went the next morning to start the cleaning and corrosion mitigation process in several of the units. Service Master cleaned the air ducts, contents, carpet, and tile. Service Master will be washing the building’s façade and cleaning each lanai. Service Master project managers are working directly with the condominium association and unit owners adjusters to complete the necessary repairs in a timely manner.
